Maui Beach

Every Sunday at Little Beach they have drummers.  We were there for 4 hours and then never stopped.  It was amazing.

This will be my last post while in Maui.  We leave tomorrow and I will post some more when I get home.  Looking forward to seeing everyone, but I will miss this place.  We had a great time.

Haleakala

We went to Haleakala today.  What a hike.  We hiked about 3 miles down and then back up.  I was dying.  It was a great workout but I'm exhausted.  BTW, either Reggie looks like he smokes weed or in Maui they think that all black men smoke, but everywhere we go he gets offered weed. Whether we are walking or in the car.

Little Beach

We went back to Little Beach today.  The nude beach.  On Sundays they have people playing drums. It was interesting.  And lots of people smoking weed.  You could really smell it.

West Maui

After the nude beach we had lunch and drove around the West Maui Coast. We found a flowhole that was really amazing. I also discovered that Reggie is not comfortable with heights. We had to scale down a cliff to get to the blowhole and he was a little nervous but he made it. That's my man!!

Road to Hana

We drove the road to Hana today.  We couldn't find the waterfalls on the guide.  We only saw one that was next to the road.  It was a very long drive.  Very long.  Reggie is so nice, he drove the whole way.  Actually he's driven the whole time. He says he likes to drive.  He's so sweet.

Update

Ok, I have a little time so I will tell you what we have been up to.  We woke up early Friday morning, about 3am, couldn't sleep.  We went up on the deck upstairs to be romantic, and after about 15 minutes we noticed a big fire in the sky, and it wasn't because we are so hot. :)   We decided to check it out and this is what we found.  We found out later that it is sugar cane that is burning, that is how they harvest it.

Up Early

We woke up at 3am and can't sleep.  What to do?  Post pics of course.  Here's some of our car, the beach and Mr. Reggie working hard!

We made it

It was a long flight and a long day but we are in Maui.  I'm too tired to upload pics tonight.  And I only took a few anyway.  Tomorrow is the nudie beach so we should have some good ones :)  I have been up for 24 hours now.  And I'm only a little tired.  Will post more later. 

One week to go

Can't believe that it's almost here.  Only one week and I'll be in Maui.  Looking forward to the drive to Hana, Haleakala and the beach.  I'll be updating this blog regularly when I get there.
