Well, since my trip is over, this is the final post. I wanted to leave you all with this video of the beautiful waterfall named Akaka. It's a 400 foot fall, and if you listen you can hear the sound of kids in the background. I had to listend to stupid kids all through the trip, ending with a crying baby all the way from San Francisco. Ugh! I want an airline that is child free. So enjoy the video, and Mahalo!!!!

Hiking and Naked Vollyball
I went hiking at the Volcano National Park. It was amazing. Here are a few pictures, there are more on the link to the right. I can't wait to get home so I can upload the videos. There don't have a lot of bandwidth here and everytime I try to upload a video it crashes. Tomorrow I'm off to my new B&B and the potluck. I get to meet more locals. I can't wait!!!

Helicopter Trip
I went on the helicopter trip today. It was very scary at first, especially with no doors. But it was amazing. I went to a few waterfalls after the helicopter trip. Check the link on the right for the photo album for the trip. I have more to add to the album, but the internet connection is so slow here it takes forever, especially the video.

Lave Flow
There are 2 guys at the B & B that are also from DC, and they drove me out to see the lava flow into the ocean tonight. I added photos to the link on the right. The iternet connection here is very slow so I will upload the videos when I get home. They are spectacular.

Amazing
Here is a video I took a little while ago of the steam from the lava going into the ocean. I went to the beach this morning and I'm going back right now. Unfortunatly, I forgot to take off my ring that Melvin gave me for Christmas and it got sucked off my finger from the waves. I'm really upset. He will be too. And there is no cell phone reception on this part of the island so I haven't told him yet.
Also, look to the link on the right for photos of the b

I woke up around 5 am and I'm sitting in my room. This is the view from my room. Can't wait to hit the beach today.
Oh, and I was in my room last night watching a movie online, and I saw a lizard crawl up the wall to the top of the shelf on the closet. It was a tiny one, I use to see them alot when I lived in Vegas, but I never saw one inside the house. I hope it stays out of my stuff!! If I disappear the prime suspect will be the lizard.

Another Tour
I have book another tour. This is a walking tour in the northern part of the Island. You see some small waterfalls but the large ones are on private property and you can't access them. That's what I'm told anyway. But I'll see the big ones in the helicopter. The only thing is that the other people scheduled on this tour are a family, 2 adults and 3 kids. Oy! Why must the straights ruin everything. ;) I'm hoping maybe at the B&B they will know of a gay tour.

One Week to Go!!!!!
Can't wait. I booked a helicopter trip for next Friday with Tropical Helicopters. I will be on the helicopter without doors so I can feel the heat from the volcano. And the volcano is erupting right now. When I made the reservation, the woman on the phone told me it is the biggest eruption in ten years. (Insert your own dirty joke here). She said that even the people use to seeing the volcano are impressed with this eruption. (See news story here). I hope it stays that way until next Friday. (Another opening for a dirty joke). I'm going to take lots of pictures and hopefully will get some good video too.

Bed and Breakfast
I have found two gay bed and breakfasts to stay at. They are very reasonably priced. The first place I am staying at is Absolute Paradise. I am flying into Kona, then it's about a 3 hour drive from the airport to the B&B, but I'm sure it's a beautiful drive. Absolute Paradise is next to a black sand beach (we all know how much I like black.......sand) and it's also clothing optional. I'm not sure I can get pictures of that. I'm staying in the $90 a night room. I share a bathroom, which I'm not thrilled about, but they didn't have the room available with the private bath. Sharing is fine though. I've done it before.
The second place is Kane o Kupono which, according to the website, means Men of Nature. ( Why does that sound dirty to me!) This time I managed to get a private bathroom. When I made the reservation, the owner told me that the day I arrive, (July 20) they are having a pot luck and I was invited. I get to meet the local gays! I hope it's fun.

The Big Island Vacation
I have been saving my frequent flyer miles with United for years but I have never used them. With the way airlines are charging for everything, I thought I should use my miles before United stops accepting them. So I am going to the Big Island of Hawaii. I am leaving July 16 and come back July 24.
I was going to go to law school starting in August, but after many sleepless nights, I decided I didn't want to be $100,000 in debt by the time I finished. I've been saving up money and haven't had a vacation in two years, so I'm planning on making the most of this. I am really looking forward to this trip.
I recently bought my first digital camera and so I plan on posting lots of pictures on this blog.
